Membership / Keahlian

 All parents with children in Assunta Secondary School and all teachers of the school are deemed to
 be members of the association.
 All committee members are elected during the Annual General Meeting of the PTA.

 

Aims of the Association / Matlamat Persatuan

(a) To provide a forum and service for the welfare and development of the pupil in the school in
     upgrading the image of the school.

(b) To assist and increase the effort of the school in meeting the material requirements and
     needs of the pupils in their activities.

(c) To enable parents and teachers in the school to exchange ideas and information on education.

(d) To give opportunity to the parents and teachers in the school to consult each other as to
     the manner of improving the standard of education of their children in general.

(e) To enable parents and teachers in the school to strive to increase the finance of the school and
     upgrading the physical facilities for the purposes of upgrading  the teaching and learning facilities.

PTA Activities Year 2010 / Aktiviti PIBG Tahun 2010

Listed below are some of the main activities held in the school.

1. Services provided

Funding of the Sanitact service on a monthly basis.
Payment of the monthly salary and year-end bonus for the school security guard (Miss Vijie),
and the gardener, (Mr. Bala)

2. School Maintenance and Upgrading

This includes systematic repair and repainting of the school. Among the areas upgraded are the Art Room, and the Surau.

3. Welfare of the Teachers and Pupils

* Subsidies for co-curriculum activities and school functions * Payment for relief teachers

 4. Publication of Berita Assunta

*  Bi-yearly

 

Acknowledgement

Assunta Secondary School sincerely thank the PTA for their co-operation, time and energy in helping the school to achieve its various aims and objectives. We are truly blessed to have this very special group of people constantly working for the betterment of the school.
