Chronology of buildings and facilities in SMK Assunta
 
 
1958  Situated temporary at 'Assunta Primary School' Jalan Templer,
Petaling Jaya.

1960  Completion of Phase 1 building of Assunta Secondary School at Jalan Changgai : 3 storey Junior Block and Canteen.

1961   Tranfer from 'Assunta Primary School' Jalan Templer, Petaling Jaya to the new building at Jalan Changgai.

1962   Completion of Phase 2 building : 3 Storey Senior Block with 20 classrooms

1963  Building of 'Talent' road - with students' effort.

1965  New Art and sewing block built next to school canteen
 
1966  Construction of School Hall with the help of PTA.

1967  Completion of the school hall.

1973  'Covered Corridor' joining the school building, canteen and school hall was built
Completion of new building joining the Senior Block used as the school office, meeting room, 2 science laboratories and a library

1977  The Dentist room was made available at the top floor of the school canteen.

1980   'The Shed' - a temporary structure to house 8 classrooms was built.

1988  The completion of Mutiara Block : 16 classrooms.

1989   'The Shed' was renovated with 2 workshops for the Living Skills subject.

1991  The building of a prayer room for the Muslims and the 'Fardhu Ain' block.
 
1993   The building of Pavillion next to the staff room at Senior Block to facilitate the viewing of activities at the school field.

1999  The building of covered corridor along Talent Road joining Gate B to the Senior Block.

2000  Proposed 4-storey new building and efforts to collect building funds begin.

2001   7 September - Brick-laying ceremony for the new building.

2002   Completion of the 4-storey new building
          - Puan Sri Datin Seri Kai Yong Yeoh Building.

2003   Completion of the school canteen.

2008   Completion of Datin Kathleen Art Centre.
